About the role
Role Overview
Capnexus is hiring a Senior AWS Data Engineer to lead data architecture and pipeline development for a 12-week AI-powered modernization engagement in the construction industry. The work will build the data engineering backbone of an intelligent subcontractor pre-qualification platform, integrating ERP data and extracting documents for downstream AI automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead data architecture and design of the data engineering backbone for the platform
- Develop data pipelines including Amazon Textract data extraction
- Build ETL workflows using AWS Glue
- Implement CMIC ERP API integration and related data ingestion
- Perform data quality validation to ensure reliable, production-ready data
Requirements
- Strong AWS data engineering expertise (data architecture, pipelines, ETL)
- Hands-on experience building cloud-based ingestion and processing pipelines
Nice-to-haves
- Experience integrating ERP APIs into data platforms
- Experience with document intelligence / OCR-style workflows using Amazon Textract
