About the role
Role overview
Senior Data Analytics Engineer (Data Insights) responsible for building and scaling a trusted, company-wide data foundation that powers high-quality decision-making. You will transform raw data into reliable, structured, and actionable insights by designing scalable data models, metrics layers, and analytical datasets in a cloud data warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models, transformations, and pipelines using modern analytics engineering practices
- Develop and standardize core business metrics and dimensions for consistent, self-service analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate decision-making needs into analytical data products
- Implement and optimize data transformations (e.g., with dbt) to ensure data quality, performance, and maintainability
- Build and evolve semantic layers and KPI frameworks for dashboards, reporting, experimentation, and advanced analytics
- Define best practices for data modeling, metric definitions, and analytics engineering standards across teams
- Work with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years in data analytics engineering, data modeling, BI engineering, or similar roles
- Strong SQL skills (data modeling, query optimization, working with large-scale datasets)
- 3+ years with Python and dbt for transformations and analytics engineering workflows
- Deep understanding of modern data warehousing and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
- Experience building metrics layers, semantic models, and self-service analytics environments
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple complex data projects
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience in remote, cross-functional environments with ownership and autonomy
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and source control (e.g., Git)
- Experience with semi-structured data (e.g., JSON) and BI tools
