Senior Data Analyst

Role Overview

Senior Data Analyst supporting data analysis and insurance systems development at Vantage, including conversion and downstream data feeding. The role partners with business, operations, and application leads, and helps manage delivery priorities, backlog, and production release coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support data and reporting architecture for insurance data systems, including:
  • RDM/MDM
  • Data warehouse, data lakes, data marts
  • Business intelligence & reporting tools
  • Modeling and actuarial tools (pricing, reserving)
  • Exposure management tools
• Provide deep technical and business analysis of data to enable data-driven decision making.
• Create Source-to-Target mappings with functional business representatives.
• Own the user story and technical story writing process:
  • Maintain a groomed backlog with clear descriptions, acceptance criteria, developer alignment, and business deadlines.
• Validate developers’ work and obtain business sign-off for deployed changes.
• Partner with the VP, Insurance Enterprise Data to set priorities across functional areas.
• Coordinate with the Technical Data Manager on release process and business communication for production deployments.
• Actively manage the inventory/backlog of pending development activities.
• Support QA efforts for assigned systems/technologies by designing test cases and testing scenarios with QA engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (degree is cut off in the provided text).
