About the role
Role Overview
Tremendous is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to partner with internal stakeholders and build reliable foundations for AI-powered data access. You’ll support multiple business areas (including Product, Finance, and Customer Success) and contribute to the semantic layer and broader data model.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted, reliable data models and expand semantic layer coverage to improve accuracy of AI-generated analyses
- Use analytics methods to uncover insights into key business areas
- Consolidate findings into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders
- Advocate for data-informed decisions with stakeholders and senior leaders
- Improve the data team’s ways of working by standardizing processes and developing new practices
- Contribute to data team collaboration and culture
Requirements
- Write sophisticated SQL with a focus on:
- well-architected data models
- optimized query performance
- documented code
- Proficiency with at least one visualization / BI tool (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Mode)
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to explain design choices and business impact
- Comfort working alongside AI tools and critically evaluating AI-generated output
- Ability to drive projects forward with rapid, incremental development
- Structured approach to ambiguous exploratory analysis (balanced thoroughness + MVP mindset)
- Strong business/product judgment and prioritization
Bonus / Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in B2B software
- Experience with dbt, Sigma, and Snowflake
- Experience with Python or R
Compensation & Logistics
- Competitive pay and equity
- Base salary: $175k–$225k
- Fully remote, work from anywhere in the Americas
