Senior Data Analyst (SQL, Power BI, Looker)

Role Overview

Senior Data Analyst (SQL, Power BI, Looker) — fully remote in Canada. You’ll use data to drive strategic decisions across platform initiatives, turning complex datasets into actionable insights for business and product leaders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to identify and solve business challenges using data-driven approaches.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to produce actionable insights that influence business and product strategy.
• Design and deliver dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Looker, or similar tools.
• Monitor and report on KPIs and OKRs to track platform performance and outcomes.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver analytical solutions.
• Build advanced data models and apply statistical techniques to forecast trends and guide decision-making.
• Ensure data integrity via validation, cleaning, and transformation; proactively identify and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a related quantitative role.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and analyzing data.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Looker (or similar visualization tools).
• Experience with ELT/data warehouse tools such as Snowflake, Airflow, or dbt.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data modeling and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills to present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience in SaaS environments, large-scale product analytics, or enterprise product ecosystems.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
