About the role

Role Overview

Senior Data Analyst at Solana Foundation. You will turn large-scale blockchain and ecosystem datasets into clear insights that influence product decisions, ecosystem health, and user experiences.

Responsibilities

Analyze large-scale blockchain and ecosystem datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Partner with engineers, product teams, and ecosystem stakeholders to define metrics and answer high-impact business and protocol questions
Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations for both technical and non-technical audiences
Develop and maintain reliable datasets and analytical models to support decision-making across the organization
Define and track key ecosystem metrics such as:
- decentralization scores
- transaction inclusion performance
- validator health
- network economics
Perform exploratory analysis on protocol updates, ecosystem initiatives, and user behavior trends
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across analytics workflows
Document methodologies, metric definitions, and analytical processes

Requirements

5+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related roles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills working with large/complex datasets
Proficiency in SQL and experience with modern analytics tooling and data warehouses
Experience building dashboards/visualizations (e.g., Allium, Dune, Hex, or similar BI tools)
Familiarity with blockchain technologies (transaction data, smart contracts, consensus mechanisms)
Experience with big data/analytics platforms (e.g., ClickHouse, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery)
Strong understanding of experimentation, metrics design, and statistical analysis
Ability to communicate insights effectively to technical and business audiences

Experience working with Solana data and the Solana ecosystem
Bonus: contributions to open source
Bonus: applying AI/LLM workflows to analytics or operational use cases
Bonus: familiarity with Python or Rust for data analysis/tooling
Bonus: experience in fast-moving startup or crypto environments
