About the role

Role Overview

Join VAST Data as a Senior Data Analyst (Sales). You will deliver strategic recommendations and build analytics that improve reporting systems, data quality, and operational processes—working closely with Sales and Revenue Operations and presenting insights to Sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic recommendations that influence business decisions and company strategy.
Develop analytical solutions to improve:
- reporting systems
- data quality
- data/process workflows
Lead large, complex analytics and reporting projects with accurate, accessible, and repeatable outputs.
Manage multiple stakeholders and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

5+ years as a data analyst, with experience in sales analytics, commercial operations, FP&A, or business intelligence.
Strong understanding of Sales processes, organizational structures, and best practices/strategies.
Expertise in advanced SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Expert-level Tableau skills for dashboarding, visualization, and data storytelling.
Domain knowledge of SFDC (Salesforce) data, including schemas and processes.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify patterns and derive meaningful insights.
Ability to deliver quickly, prioritize multiple requests/projects, and shorten iteration cycles.
Ability to clearly communicate complex insights across audiences.

Nice-to-Haves

Master’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
Minimal travel (~10% or less annually).
