About the role

Role Overview

Senior Data Analyst for an Enterprise Data Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE). This is a fully remote (U.S.) contract-to-hire opportunity focused on turning complex data into actionable business insights through analytics and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate discussions, and translate business needs into analytics solutions.
Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Write advanced SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
Collaborate with Data Engineers to deliver data products using Agile development sprints.
Create user stories and define reporting requirements to support end-to-end delivery.
Develop actionable data visualizations and executive-level reporting.
Contribute to data modeling and enterprise data warehouse initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement in reporting/analytics and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years in data analytics or business intelligence.
Advanced SQL with experience on large, complex datasets.
Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and visualizations.
Strong communication skills for requirements gathering and stakeholder collaboration.
Proven data storytelling and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take strong ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Azure Databricks and modern cloud data platforms.
Familiarity with ETL tools/processes such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, or dbt.
Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Delta Lake, or similar enterprise platforms.
Python experience (plus).
Experience building data applications with Streamlit or Dash (plus).
Healthcare industry experience (preferred, not required).
