Senior Data Analyst

Role overview

Join MongoDB as a Senior Data Analyst to turn HR and organizational data into actionable insights. You’ll partner with the People (HR) team to run deep-dive analyses, maintain a central people data repository, and deliver automated dashboards that enable stakeholder self-service.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the People team to transform HR and organizational data into data-driven recommendations
• Develop and execute a roadmap for people data investments, capturing near-term value and enabling long-term team success
• Design and build automated dashboards for self-serve reporting and analytics
• Manage a central repository for people data and support analytics priorities across stakeholders

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on analytics experience, preferably in people/HR analytics
• Strong analytical and technical skills; ability to tell a story with data
• Advanced SQL skills for working with very large datasets
• Proficiency in Python or R, with emphasis on data wrangling and analysis
• Tableau (or another leading visualization tool) experience required
• Strong data modeling and data quality best practices
• Ability to work comfortably in ambiguous, fast-paced environments; self-guided execution
• Clear communication and priority-setting with stakeholders at all levels

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with survey design and analysis
• Exposure to modern cloud data warehouses
• Experience analyzing complex people metrics (e.g., headcount, attrition, recruiting metrics, compensation)
• Familiarity with data architecture fundamentals and data warehousing
