Senior Data Analyst

Role overview

Senior Data Analyst (individual contributor) responsible for end-to-end analytics delivery across Mastermind.com and AI Advantage. This is a business-facing analytics role focused on owning the full analytics chain—from data model design and pipelines through to reporting and real-time decision support.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics delivery end to end for Sales, Marketing, Client Success, Events, and Operations leadership across both organizations
• Design data models and ensure they support business reporting needs
• Maintain production data pipelines and models, including pipeline upkeep and dbt model maintenance
• Build business-facing reporting and real-time decision support
• Transform and surface data through the full chain:
  • Fivetran + custom Python scripts → BigQuery → dbt Cloud → Hex and Google Sheets
• Partner directly with non-technical leaders to:
  • Explain what the data shows in plain language
  • Challenge and push back on incorrect or ill-framed business questions
• Build lightweight internal dashboards/data apps when spreadsheets are insufficient

Requirements

• Strong ability to write complex, performant SQL from scratch and communicate the results clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience building and maintaining production dbt models (not only ad-hoc SQL)
• Ability to take a vague executive request and turn it into a scoped analysis with clear outputs
• Experience working in a lean, fast-moving environment where you function as analyst + analytics engineer + data communicator
• Ability to use AI-assisted developer workflows to accelerate delivery (e.g., Claude/ChatGPT/Cursor/Copilot)
• Independence without a dedicated analytics engineering team behind you

Nice to have / fit signals

• Experience identifying when a data request is answering the wrong question and reframing it constructively
• Comfort building lightweight dashboards/data apps beyond standard BI

Onsite / work structure

• 100% onsite in Scottsdale, AZ (Greater Phoenix Area)
• Full-time in-office role

Compensation

• $125,000–$155,000/year + 10–15% bonus
