Senior Data Analyst

Role Overview

Senior Data Analyst at Mastermind.com / AI Advantage (AI Advantage). This is a 5-days/week, 100% onsite role in Scottsdale, AZ. You will be a senior individual contributor who owns analytics delivery end-to-end across both organizations.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics delivery end-to-end for Mastermind.com and AI Advantage, including:
  • Data model design
  • Pipeline maintenance
  • Production business-facing reporting
  • Real-time decision support for Sales, Marketing, Client Success, Events, and Operations leadership
• Build and maintain the complete analytics chain:
  • Fivetran + custom Python scripts
  • Load into BigQuery
  • Transform in dbt Cloud
  • Surface insights in Hex and Google Sheets
• Act as the data communicator: partner with non-technical leaders, explain what the data says, and push back on incorrect problem framing.
• Translate vague executive questions into scoped analyses with clear outputs.
• Build lightweight internal dashboards/data apps when a spreadsheet alone isn’t enough.
• Use AI-assisted workflows to accelerate SQL, dbt development, and Python prototyping.

Requirements

• Ability to write complex, performant SQL from scratch and explain it clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience building and maintaining production dbt models (not just ad-hoc SELECTs).
• Strong analytics problem-framing skills: identify when a request is the wrong question and propose a better frame.
• Ability to work independently without a dedicated analytics engineering team.
• Experience in a lean, fast-moving environment where responsibilities span analyst + analytics engineering + communication.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling/workflows for SQL and Python development (e.g., Claude/ChatGPT/Cursor/Copilot).
• Experience delivering real-time decision support and supporting multiple business functions.

Compensation & Location

• $125,000–$155,000/year + 10–15% bonus
• Scottsdale, AZ — 100% onsite (in-office), full-time
