About the role
Role: Senior Data Analyst (Healthcare/Oncology)
Work for a partner company (managed via Jobgether) as a Senior Data Analyst focused on turning complex healthcare and oncology datasets into actionable insights for pharmaceutical and life sciences strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead analytics initiatives for oncology patient journeys, line-of-therapy mapping, and brand performance using large structured healthcare datasets.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover treatment patterns, utilization trends, and real-world clinical pathways.
- Analyze complex claims datasets including DRG, IQVIA, McKesson, and Symphony to generate actionable insights.
- Support HEOR and HCRU studies (e.g., incidence, prevalence, cost-of-illness, disease burden).
- Build, optimize, and automate data pipelines and SQL queries; use Python and Excel for advanced analysis.
- Create dashboards and client-ready presentations using PowerPoint and visualization tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineering, consulting, strategy) to define approaches, clarify requirements, and deliver insights on time.
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, documentation, and reproducibility across analytical outputs.
Requirements
- 5+ years overall experience, including 3+ years in data analytics roles in healthcare/pharma/life sciences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (CS, Statistics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related).
- Strong hands-on experience with structured healthcare claims datasets (DRG, IQVIA, McKesson, Symphony).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of real-world evidence (RWE) sources such as EHR/EMR and CMS datasets.
- Familiarity with line-of-therapy frameworks, treatment guidelines, and healthcare market access structures.
- Communication skills to translate complex data for technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in pharma consulting, analytics firms, or life sciences data environments.
