Senior Data Analyst

Role Overview

Senior Data Analyst acting as the primary point of contact between client organizations and internal data systems. You will lead the lifecycle of Data Transfer Agreement (DTA) documentation, run structured gap analyses between source and target environments, and translate technical findings into insights for both technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Author, maintain, and update DTAs for client and partner data-sharing arrangements.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT security to ensure DTAs reflect current data flows, retention policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as DTA scope subject matter expert during onboarding and contract renewals.
• Track DTA revision history and proactively surface expiration or gap alerts.
• Conduct structured gap analysis (presentation DB views vs. Scriptly schema vs. source systems) to identify coverage, mapping, and quality gaps.
• Produce gap documentation with prioritized remediation recommendations for data engineering and product teams.
• Monitor and communicate gap metrics via dashboards and regular reports.
• Translate gap findings into data quality requirements and DTA scope adjustments.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as a customer-facing resource for data governance, onboarding, and ongoing reporting needs.
• Lead client-facing data reviews, walking stakeholders through findings, gaps, and resolution timelines.
• Build trusted relationships with customer data teams, bridging business requirements and technical architecture.
• Gather and document client data requirements and translate them into analytical specifications and DTA updates.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Write optimized SQL (Snowflake/SQL Server) for complex extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Design and maintain dashboards/reporting solutions for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Validate data quality through cleansing, filtering, and cross-referencing against schema mappings.
• Apply statistical methods to analyze trends, outliers, and performance indicators.

Process & Documentation

• Maintain data documentation such as data dictionaries, field-level lineage maps, and integration runbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Data Analyst or Technical Business Analyst with direct client/customer-facing responsibilities.
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 1+ year experience drafting/reviewing/maintaining Data Transfer Agreements (or similar data governance documents).
• Intermediate SQL Server or Oracle, with Snowflake highly preferred; comfortable with complex multi-CTE queries and aggregations over large datasets.
• Strong experience conducting gap analysis between source and target data systems with formal documentation.
• Healthcare or specialty Pharma experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy regulations, and relevant data governance frameworks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with dbt, data warehouse modeling, or column-level data lineage tools.
• Data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent.
• Python or R for data analysis and automation.
