About the role
Role Overview
FormFactor is seeking a Senior Data Analyst – Financial Analytics to build and implement a robust financial analytics function within the Finance organization. The role will use data modeling, analytics, and visualization to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decisions across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Financial Analytics Development:
- Partner with Finance leadership to design, implement, and scale a financial analytics framework for forecasting and business performance.
- Build advanced data models to analyze financial and operational performance (e.g., revenue, margins, and key drivers).
- Convert complex financial data into clear insights for executives, business unit leaders, and operational teams.
- Identify opportunities for embedding predictive and diagnostic analytics in financial decision-making.
- Data Visualization & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting for timely, accurate stakeholder information.
- Standardize financial reporting metrics, hierarchies, and master data definitions to ensure consistency across business units and corporate functions.
- Use visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Qlik) to deliver executive-ready storytelling.
- Collaboration & Business Partnership:
- Work with business unit finance teams, Global Sales, and Corporate FP&A to align on data and insights.
- Partner with IT and data engineering teams to improve data infrastructure, data quality, and governance.
- Coach and mentor colleagues on analytics best practices to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate and introduce best practices in financial analytics, modeling, and visualization.
- Recommend enhancements to forecasting and planning using analytics-driven approaches.
- Drive automation to improve efficiency in data preparation and reporting workflows.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with financial analytics and modeling approaches.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Qlik (or similar).
- Technical skills including Python and SQL (or similar).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience integrating predictive/diagnostic analytics into finance processes.
- Experience standardizing metrics, hierarchies, and master data definitions across multiple business units.
