About the role

Role Overview

Join Connexus Credit Union’s Data & Insights team as a Senior Data Analyst, serving as a strategic analytics partner to the business. The role delivers high-impact analytics such as dashboards, KPIs, advanced analysis, and automation to turn complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

Translate business priorities into advanced analytical initiatives and solutions for leadership.
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level KPIs, dashboards, reporting ecosystems, and analytical models.
Gather, integrate, and prepare highly complex datasets from diverse internal and external sources, ensuring data quality, scalability, and consistency.
Perform advanced analytics including statistical modeling, segmentation, forecasting, and root-cause investigations.
Lead cross-functional discovery sessions to understand business challenges and define analytical requirements (identify opportunities early).
Advise stakeholders on data governance, analytics best practices, and secure data handling to improve data literacy and adoption.
Act as the Data & Insights representative on ePMO and strategic projects to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Drive automation and efficiency by creating reusable scripts, analytic frameworks, and automated workflows.
Mentor Data Analysts and Associate Data Analysts on methodologies, QA, and documentation.
Partner with data engineering and data science teams to enhance pipelines, inform architecture, and support model development/deployment.
Present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, including BSA (as it pertains to duties).

Requirements

Remote position.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required).
8+ years of data analysis experience (required).
Prior experience in financial services (e.g., banking or credit unions) (required).
Relationship management experience with financial lines of business and data visualization (required).
Advanced SQL, Excel, and Python proficiency, including experience with automation (partially shown in posting).

Nice to Have

Experience serving as a technical analytics representative on enterprise projects (ePMO) and/or strong data governance leadership.
