About the role

Role Overview

The Senior Data Insights Analyst will join the Analytics & Data Insights team at Care.com. In a hybrid capacity, you’ll partner with Enterprise Network Operations and Servicing Operations to analyze performance metrics, improve reporting, and support strategic business decision-making.

What You’ll Do

  • Formulate data-driven strategies and communicate findings through clear narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analyze backup care fulfillment, including caregiver availability, quality, and supply.
  • Partner with Enterprise Servicing Operations to improve internal reporting and processes, such as representative productivity and phone/email/chat performance.
  • Translate complex data science/engineering concepts into actionable executive insights.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level analysts (feedback on code, data modeling, and visualization practices).
  • Own metrics end-to-end (definition to reporting) for the supported functional area.
  • Lead collaborative deep-dive analysis to uncover growth opportunities and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Build advanced metrics and visuals by collecting and integrating data from multiple sources (e.g., web analytics tools and internal databases).
  • Serve as a data point of contact for questions, insights, and reporting.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst and/or Data Analyst.
  • Advanced SQL skills; experience with Snowflake and MySQL.
  • Strong experience with data analysis, structuring, transforming, and visualization.
  • Tableau preferred for visualization/dashboarding.
  • Experience measuring impact of products and/or marketing initiatives on conversion and revenue.
  • Proven ability to influence product and marketing teams with data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to take initiative by producing top-down solutions to ambiguous business questions.
  • Strong product development mindset for actionable analytics (surface signals and work with Product/Engineering to create concrete tests).
  • Experience building comprehensive dashboards (Tableau).
  • Experience with exploratory deep dives to optimize the customer experience.
  • Ability to write performant SQL for large datasets and multiple environments.
  • Ability to craft and present complex business case studies.
  • Ability to work independently with high-level direction and proactively engage cross-functionally.
  • Consistent delivery of high-quality, accurate, detailed work.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Domo, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Experience with Amplitude.
  • Statistical knowledge and modeling.
