Senior Data Analyst

Role overview

Senior Data Analyst delivering business-critical insights through analysis, visualization, and reporting of structured data. The role supports multiple departments with dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, and recurring performance reporting, emphasizing automation, metric consistency, and proactive trend/issue detection.

Responsibilities

• Business analysis & reporting
  • Analyze business processes and KPIs to identify performance trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards/scorecards in Power BI or Tableau for department-level and enterprise KPIs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver business-ready outputs.
• Data interpretation & storytelling
  • Translate data into clear narratives, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support leadership decision-making using trends, historical context, and predictive indicators.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for unexpected performance changes.
• Process optimization & QA
  • Automate recurring reporting workflows using SQL, data transformations, and BI tools.
  • Validate report data via testing, reconciliation, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to troubleshoot issues and refine data pipelines.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business reporting, or BI.
• Advanced Excel and strong SQL for querying, cleaning, and analysis.
• Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for dashboarding and visual storytelling.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills to translate data into actionable insights.
• Familiarity with performance metrics, operational reporting, and data validation.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.

Nice to have

• Certifications in Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
