Senior Data Analyst

Role Overview

Array is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to lead engineering and product teams in solving key data and reliability challenges. The role focuses on the product data team, partnering with business and technology leaders to translate business strategy into technical delivery plans.

Responsibilities

• Trace issues through data pipelines and/or code to identify why systems aren’t behaving as expected.
• Create clear, concise Jira tickets describing findings, fixes, and prevention steps.
• Partner with engineers and product managers to make data and code more reliable, faster, and easier to understand.
• Help build a culture of technical curiosity: ask why, test assumptions, and improve continuously.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, building, and shipping.

Requirements

• Curiosity about how systems, code, and data work; ability to investigate what’s happening under the hood.
• Strong SQL; familiarity with Python.
• Experience analyzing JSONs, logs, or API outputs to validate data flowing through the system.
• Ability to read/reason about someone else’s code and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Skill at turning ambiguous problems into clear next steps and driving root-cause analysis.
• Humility and rigor: aim to be “less wrong each time” through continuous improvement.
• Analytical skills to deliver data-driven insights that improve user experience and conversion rates.
• Belief in using AI to speed up work.

Contract/Pay Notes

• $300/day for the paid interview.
• For candidates who do well: consider moving to a 180-day contract/probationary period at $80/hr.
