Senior Data Analyst- AI Project

Role overview

You will contribute to Project Amber, an initiative to improve AI performance on complex, real-world Excel spreadsheet workflows. The work involves designing Excel-based test tasks and evaluating AI-generated outputs for correctness.

Responsibilities

• Design complex Excel tasks (multi-step workflows)
• Create structured datasets using formulas, including edge cases
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for:
  • Formula accuracy and logic
  • Cross-sheet references and dependencies
  • Data integrity and structure
  • Common spreadsheet failure points (e.g., broken formulas, incorrect references, formatting loss)
• Identify and report issues such as broken formulas, incorrect references, and formatting loss

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in one or more of:
  • Data Analysis / MIS / Reporting
  • Finance / Accounting / FP&A
  • Operations / Consulting
• Superior Excel proficiency
• Experience with complex formulas and large datasets
• Ability to work with multi-step spreadsheet workflows
• Experience with VBA/Macros or Power Query
• Experience building dashboards, models, or automated reports

Work style & timeline

• Flexible, remote, async work
• Approximately 10+ hours/week
• Ongoing project with long-term potential

Compensation

• $75/hour for approved submissions
• $200 bonus after the first 2 approved submissions
