About the role

Role overview

The Senior Data Analyst supports the design, delivery, and optimization of a financial-services client’s customer and digital data products. You’ll focus on customer data platforms, a marketing data lake, and personalization enablement, working closely with product, marketing, technology, vendors, and data governance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product managers to define product KPIs, success metrics, and analytical requirements for customer and digital products.
  • Support modernization of the client’s marketing data lake as the enterprise foundation for customer/marketing insights.
  • Design and maintain entity-based data models for the marketing data lake.
  • Apply medallion architecture principles (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to marketing data lake design.
  • Enable analytics and use cases for:
    • Personalization
    • Customer acquisition
    • Lifecycle marketing
  • Build expertise in audience segmentation, campaign targeting, suppression, and eligibility rules.
  • Support identity solutions including identity graph and third-party identity providers (e.g., LiveRamp, Acxiom).
  • Ensure alignment between enterprise data lake entities and Adobe RTCDP profile and event schemas.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data platform teams on data ingestion, data remapping, transformation, and data modeling.
  • Document data definitions, business rules, and assumptions following data governance standards.
  • Apply consent, privacy, and data usage controls across analytics, journey, and activation use cases.
  • Support audit, regulatory, and risk inquiries with traceable and explainable data flows.
  • Proactively identify data quality, lineage, or control gaps, and recommend remediation.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, information systems, computer science, economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in product analytics, marketing data lake, or customer data platforms.
  • Strong experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical).
  • Strong ability to translate product/business needs into data and analytics requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with identity resolution and customer identity graphs.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data lineage, and metadata management.
  • Experience supporting personalization, segmentation, and marketing measurement use cases.
  • Exposure to personalization, decisioning, and next-best-action analytics.

Nice to haves

  • Hands-on experience with Acxiom data products and identity solutions, such as:
    • Acxiom Real ID
    • AbiliTec identity graph
    • Data onboarding/enrichment datasets
    • Prospect/look-alike modeling datasets
  • Advanced SQL and experience with large, complex datasets.
  • Experience integrating Acxiom data feeds into enterprise marketing platforms (e.g., CDP, marketing data lake, campaign management systems, digital advertising platforms).
