Senior Corporate Security Engineer

Role Overview

Join GitLab as a Senior Corporate Security Engineer to secure the systems that support our fully remote team. You will build secure-by-default controls for endpoints and SaaS platforms, with a primary focus on macOS, while partnering across Corporate Security and Information Technology.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture for GitLab’s endpoint fleet and related infrastructure, especially macOS.
• Design and support automation for secure endpoint deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management using code-based workflows.
• Define and enforce security baselines across macOS, iOS, Windows, and Linux endpoints.
• Manage endpoint and SaaS security configuration.
• Mentor engineers across Corporate Security and Information Technology.

Requirements

• Experience designing and delivering endpoint, systems, or corporate security solutions with scalable, durable controls.
• Strong hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code skills, especially Terraform (module design, state management, pipeline-based deployment).
• Familiarity with cloud identity providers/directories, including Okta, Google Workspace, and LDAP.
• Experience with GitOps workflows (Git repositories, merge requests, code review, automated pipelines).
• Deep knowledge of endpoint management platforms such as Jamf Pro or FleetDM, particularly for architecting and securing macOS.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming for automation and security tooling, such as bash, Python, PowerShell, or Go.
• Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate across distributed teams, and work independently in a fully remote environment.

• Ability to bring transferable experience from adjacent security, systems, or platform engineering backgrounds with a practical, security-focused approach.
