About the role
Role overview
The (Senior) Corporate Data Analyst will support the creation of a new internal data warehouse by pulling, analyzing, and presenting key business data to stakeholders. You will manage ongoing BI development and act as a primary owner for company-wide data warehouse availability and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and optimize BI solutions, including data models, dashboards, and reports.
- Own the company data warehouse: maintenance, system/data availability, and coordination of data integration engineers when needed.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and document requirements for BI projects, enhancements, and reporting.
- Use data visualization and statistical analysis to present insights in a clear, meaningful way.
- Apply data analysis techniques to identify patterns and trends.
- Build and reconcile reports to source/system data on regular cadence and ad-hoc requests.
- Maintain documentation for data sources, models, and processes.
- Provide training and support to end users on BI tools and reports.
- Stay current with BI trends and best practices.
- Apply basic development skills with Python and SQL to extract insights (finance, business operations, etc.).
- Use ticketing/project management tools to track deadlines and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Analysis, or a business-related field.
- Corporate Data Analyst: 1+ years providing data analytics, reporting, and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Senior Corporate Data Analyst: 3+ years providing analytics and reporting to leadership/executives.
- Technical experience with Python and SQL for data manipulation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Project ownership and attention to detail; self-starter.
- Knowledge/experience with data pipelines and ETL.
- Experience working with data engineers and understanding technical requirements.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Databricks and ThoughtSpot (and other data lake/warehouse/analytics tools).
