Role: Senior Controller (m/w/d)

You will shape and advance the company’s controlling rather than only operating it. The focus is on interpreting figures, challenging existing processes, and deriving practical, sustainable optimization measures.

Responsibilities

• Develop modern cost accounting and forecasting systems
• Use BI tools (notably Power BI) and translate ideas into company management/steering
• Act as a business partner: work closely with management and business units to analyze business unit profitability
• Identify potentials and create actionable recommendations
• Oversee the bigger picture including:
  • Monthly and annual financial statements
  • Cashflow analysis
  • Liquidity planning
• Continuously challenge and improve the controlling function (including beyond pure reporting)

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration/Economics with a focus on Finance/Controlling or a comparable field
• At least 3 years of relevant controlling experience
• Solid knowledge of controlling, reporting, and BI tools (Power BI, Excel; SAP if applicable)
• Practical experience with data-driven analysis and evaluation
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for decision support (or willingness to do so)
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with readiness to take responsibility and drive change
• Strong communication skills and teamwork
• German (very good) and English (good)
