Senior Consultant - Cloud Infrastructure

Role Overview

Senior Consultant in the Hybrid Infrastructure – Cloud practice, responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions aligned with organizational goals. You will collaborate with teams and clients to ensure solutions are efficient, secure, and scalable, and you’ll guide delivery through the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Advise and implement cloud-based solutions across cloud platforms and related technologies
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Provide project and technical guidance to teams; mentor fellow consultants
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective
• Perform assessments and provide recommendations for adoption and migration
• Develop and maintain documentation and best practices
• Stay current with cloud technologies and trends
• Ensure security/compliance, including:
  • Data protection
  • Encryption
  • Access control
  • Meeting relevant regulatory requirements
• Deliver expert client collateral such as architectural drawings, documentation, and implementation guides
• Support the sales process with technical whiteboards, scoping, sales collateral, and presentations; review collateral for technical correctness

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in IT consulting or data center IT management/design
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or Azure DevOps)
• Strong understanding of cloud security (IAM, encryption, compliance)
• Experience with Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and DR/HA best practices (or equivalent in other clouds)
• Effective communication with clients and stakeholders
• Project management skills to keep cloud implementations on track and within scope
• At least one certification (examples given):
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Azure Administrator Associate
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, etc.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Azure certifications such as:
  • Azure Administrator Associate
  • Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Understanding of Microsoft Azure core services, including the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework, plus Azure Networking and third-party appliances

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Technologies

• Docker and Kubernetes (containerization and orchestration)
• Serverless experience (e.g., Azure Functions)
• DevOps principles and tooling for CI/CD and automation
• Cloud big data/analytics services (e.g., SQL Data Warehouse, Databricks)
• Platform technologies such as Azure Local, Nutanix, or VMware
