Senior Cloud Engineer- GCP

Role Overview

Senior/Lead GCP Cloud Engineer (Networking + DevOps + AI) for a long-term contract engagement. The role is remote, with a requirement to support overlap with CDT hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native solutions on GCP.
• Architect and manage secure landing zones and multi-project environments.
• Lead cloud networking and hybrid connectivity initiatives.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD best practices.
• Support Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud operations.
• Enable AI/GenAI capabilities using Vertex AI and modern LLM frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, scalable cloud solutions.

Required Skills

GCP & Platform Engineering

• GCP services: GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub
• IAM expertise (mandatory)

Cloud Networking (critical)

• VPC design & architecture
• Routing & firewall policies
• Network Connectivity Center (NCC)
• Hybrid connectivity: VPN, Interconnect, Private Service Connect (PSC)

DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Terraform (mandatory)
• Cloud Build and/or GitHub Actions
• Kubernetes (GKE)
• Docker
• Monitoring & observability

AI / GenAI

• Vertex AI (Gemini models)
• LLMs
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
• Prompt engineering
• Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or similar AI agent frameworks

Integration & Streaming

• API Gateway (Tyk preferred)
• Pub/Sub
• Kafka / Confluent

Experience

• 6–12 years
