About the role

Role overview

Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer focused on building and continuously improving cloud-native services. You will partner with development and platform engineering teams to ensure seamless integration, strong performance, and future-proof, cloud-agnostic system designs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous refinement of system architecture to improve scalability, reliability, performance, and long-term adaptability
  • Collaborate with development and platform engineering teams to implement architecture improvements aligned with business needs and tech trends
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and recommend solutions for future requirements and multi-cloud environments
  • Design and maintain high-performance APIs
  • Implement and maintain event-driven architectures and messaging patterns
  • Drive operational readiness through monitoring, error handling, retry strategies, and dead letter queues

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software development and architecture experience, with hands-on DevOps experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible (IaC), and Helm
  • Hands-on containerization and orchestration: Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of messaging patterns and delivery guarantees (at-most-once, at-least-once, exactly-once)
  • Experience with partitioning strategies, consumer groups, and backpressure handling
  • Proficient with Git-based workflows
  • Knowledge of real-time streaming technologies (e.g., WebRTC, gRPC)
  • Solid cloud knowledge (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with reverse proxies such as Traefik and service routing/configuration
  • Performance/scalability considerations for distributed systems
  • Experience with databases: MongoDB (NoSQL) and/or PostgreSQL (SQL)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Experience with message queues like RabbitMQ and/or Kafka
  • Familiarity with service discovery (e.g., Consul)
  • Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, Python, and Go
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English

Nice to have / additional signals

  • Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System)
  • Experience with infrastructure and delivery in Kubernetes + Linux container environments
