About the role

Role overview

As a Senior Cloud Consultant (DevOps) at Auvaria, you will help implement complex cloud projects and take ownership of the technical architecture and implementation of customer cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Technical consulting & solution design: Advise customers on cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, and performance; design innovative, scalable cloud architectures aligned to customer requirements.
  • Implementation & operations (AWS): Implement, operate, configure, optimize, and monitor AWS-based cloud solutions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Pre-sales support: Support sales with pre-sales activities and communicate the benefits of cloud solutions to customers.
  • Knowledge transfer: Share expertise through workshops/training, and contribute to continuous improvement of team/cloud competency.

Requirements

  • STEM degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/engineering or related).
  • 2+ years IT industry experience, ideally with cloud focus.
  • AWS hands-on experience (2+ years); AWS Solutions Architect certification is a plus (or you’re ready to obtain it).
  • Strong skills in networking, operating systems, virtualization, and containerization.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python and TypeScript.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Pulumi.
  • Project management experience; familiarity with Agile methods like Scrum or Kanban.
  • Ability to communicate in English (German is a plus) and explain technical topics to diverse audiences.
  • Strong learning mindset and curiosity about new technologies and customer environments.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and deliver complex projects successfully.
  • German language skills.
