Role Overview

Senior Business Product Owner responsible for translating business strategy into high-impact digital product outcomes in a collaborative Agile environment. You will own product priorities, maximize business value, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results through continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

  • Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and organizational priorities.
  • Translate business opportunities into well-defined features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery.
  • Continuously evaluate priorities using value, risk, stakeholder feedback, and team capacity; make informed trade-offs.
  • Define measurable success metrics for product initiatives and validate outcomes against expected business/customer impact.
  • Act as the primary business representative for product priorities, collaborating via reviews, planning sessions, and ongoing feedback loops.
  • Partner with cross-functional Agile teams by providing clear direction, rapid decision-making, and support across the product lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies, proactively manage risks, and ensure alignment with broader portfolio and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years relevant experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Business Product Owner, Product Owner, or similar product-focused role in an Agile environment.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into prioritized backlogs and executable development plans.
  • Experience balancing business value, risk, and stakeholder expectations using data-driven prioritization.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery in regulated/complex industries (healthcare/medical devices/financial services preferred).
  • Experience using delivery metrics, customer feedback, and performance data to drive continuous product improvement and long-term strategy.
