Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Business Intelligence Engineer for an 8-month fixed-term contract (full remote). You will lead the design and development of a data visualization ecosystem and analytical frameworks, partnering with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of BI visualization ecosystems and analytical frameworks.
• Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data models for complex analytics.
• Establish and enforce data governance practices, including:
  • data documentation
  • metadata management
  • data quality assurance to support a "one source of the truth" approach
• Develop sophisticated dashboards and ensure performance optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in at least one enterprise BI platform: Omni and/or Power BI.
• Expert-level SQL (complex joins, window functions, performance tuning).
• Experience combining data from multiple/disparate systems into unified, high-integrity data models in a modern data warehouse.
• 5+ years in BI engineering, data engineering, or a highly technical analytics role.
• Strong data warehousing principles and experience with cloud data warehouses such as Databricks (preferred), Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Strong ability to translate complex designs into clear narratives for both technical and executive audiences.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas) and modern data stack tooling (e.g., dbt).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience working in a global team and 100% remote.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Salesforce.
• ResTech industry experience.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts.
• Experience with Tableau, Looker, or Sigma.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related).
