Senior Business Intelligence Developer (Remote-US)

Role Overview

Senior BI Developer / Data Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise data lake and analytics initiative for a major public sector organization.

• Type: Contract (through Dec 2026)
• Location: Remote (US only)
• Rate: $65–80/hr
• Schedule: Mon–Fri during PST business hours, with occasional after-hours/weekend support as needed

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and support enterprise ETL pipelines
• Build and maintain dbt assets (models, macros, hooks) including incremental processing
• Develop and support Oracle PL/SQL and SQL batch processing solutions
• Ingest data from heterogeneous sources into cloud/on-prem data lake environments
• Support dimensional modeling and enterprise reporting structures
• Build/improve scalable data delivery pipelines
• Execute data quality validation and testing
• Support migration of on-prem data lake workloads to cloud platforms
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal technical teams
• Support CI/CD and Git-based deployment workflows

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of BI / Data Engineering experience
• Strong Oracle database and PL/SQL development
• Experience with dbt, Oracle SQL, ODI, and Shell scripting
• Experience with cloud data platforms and data lake architectures
• Strong experience building incremental dbt models
• Experience converting Oracle stored procedures into modular dbt models
• Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of data quality and validation processes
• Experience with Snowflake and/or AWS data ecosystems
• Authorized to work in the United States
