About the role

Role overview

You will be a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Semperis, architecting and developing shared backend infrastructure components for enterprise security and identity products. You’ll collaborate closely with product engineers, DevOps, and architects, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

Architect and build shared infrastructure components that support enterprise security and identity products.
Design and implement platform components used across multiple product teams, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Work with cross-functional teams to define platform capabilities and technical standards.
Provide technical leadership, including mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.

Requirements

7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend expertise.
Proven experience building enterprise SaaS applications for high-volume, multi-tenant environments.
Production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP preferred).
Deep proficiency in C# and .NET Core, including modern framework features and performance optimization.
Experience building shared libraries/frameworks/platform components consumed by multiple teams.
Track record designing and implementing microservices architectures and event-driven systems at scale.
Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message brokers.
Experience in the Enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain.
Background in API design and governance for platform services.
Ability to communicate clearly and work across teams to drive consensus.

Nice-to-haves

Knowledge of Elasticsearch (or similar distributed search/analytics platforms).
Observability experience (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Open-source contributions or experience maintaining shared component libraries.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Fluency in English (written and verbal).
