Join Plaid as a Senior Backend Software Engineer. You will design and build backend services emphasizing performance, reliability, and scalability, and work closely with product and cross-functional stakeholders.

Key missions

Design and develop backend services with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and implement new features
Write clean, maintainable, efficient code and build automated tests to ensure code quality
Participate in hands-on coding and architectural design
Mentor junior engineers and maintain high technical standards

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping successful projects
Strong coding, testing, and system design skills
Experience working across operations, product, design, and data science
Ability to demonstrate leadership and mentor junior engineers
Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
Experience with microservices
Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills
