About the role

Role Overview

Integral Privacy Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build the core systems for its data operations platform. This deeply technical backend role focuses on scalable services, APIs, and data pipelines that make sensitive, regulated healthcare data usable, reliable, and secure.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend services powering the platform
Prototype and productionize backend support for new data modalities and evolving requirements
Develop scalable APIs and microservices plus internal tools for core workflows
Build and optimize data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, validation, delivery) for high-volume healthcare data
Work with databases, queues, object storage, and distributed processing to move data reliably at scale
Improve performance, reliability, observability, and fault tolerance across backend systems
Architect secure, maintainable backend foundations that scale with product and customer growth
Partner with Product and Solutions Engineering to translate complex customer needs into durable platform capabilities
Help build backend systems supporting AI-enabled data operations (data prep and productionizing workflows)

Requirements

Strong backend engineering skills building high-performance, scalable systems
Experience working close to the data layer and solving hard infrastructure problems
Ability to handle distributed systems, service architecture, and data ingestion/workflow automation

Nice-to-Haves

Experience supporting AI-enabled workflows in production (without it being an ML research role)
Familiarity with regulated/sensitive data environments and secure system design
