Senior Backend Engineer

Role Overview

Uniswap Labs is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (full remote) to build and operate large-scale backend systems for Web3 products. You’ll write high-quality, well-tested code, collaborate across teams, and provide technical leadership on strategic initiatives.

Key Missions

• Write high-quality, well-tested code and review code from other team members
• Collaborate cross-functionally (engineers, designers, product managers) to turn requirements into products and lead execution end-to-end
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to peers on architectural and coding tradeoffs

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a large-scale production system on the cloud with high availability
• Shape the tech stack by staying current with modern software development and Web3 best practices
• Mentor junior engineers
• Execute projects 0→1, from requirements and design through debugging/testing, release management, and operational monitoring

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong coding skills, including deep understanding of cloud architectures, algorithms, and debugging
• Ability to build systems from the ground up (0→1)
• Strong project execution across the full lifecycle (requirements → design → debugging/testing → release/monitoring)
• AWS experience
• TypeScript experience
• Computer science degree
• Prior experience acting as a Technical Lead

• Experience with time-series monitoring/observability systems
