About the role
Role overview
Join IP Fabric as a Senior Backend Engineer (Platform) to evolve the core architecture of the product. You’ll work hands-on in the codebase, drive architectural improvements, and help other engineering teams through a stronger, more scalable platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, refactor, and evolve core platform components to improve scalability and stability
- Drive architectural improvements to reduce technical debt and improve platform performance
- Partner with Product to translate business goals into technical roadmap items
- Own platform initiatives from problem definition through delivery
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering skills and architectural thinking
- Ability to collaborate closely with Product and engineers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and identify what needs to be done
- Proven experience refactoring and maintaining production systems
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Strong backend experience with TypeScript / Node.js
- Experience with on-prem and cloud deployments
- Interest in developer experience and internal tooling
Nice to have
- Experience in platform or enablement teams
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipeline and deployment experience
