Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

Role Overview

Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js) for a wealth tech data orchestration platform. You’ll build core backend systems, integrations, and APIs that power complex workflow orchestration across multiple financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services for workflow orchestration and system integrations
• Design and develop scalable APIs across the platform
• Build systems for data synchronization between external financial systems
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and design on end-to-end feature delivery
• Contribute to backend architecture and engineering standards as the team grows

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong experience with Node.js
• Experience building APIs and backend services for production systems
• Startup experience preferred
• Strong database experience (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Comfortable in early-stage startup environments
• Strong problem solving for edge cases and system reliability

Bonus / Nice to Have

• FinTech product experience
• Workflow automation platforms

• Open source or personal software projects
