Role Overview

Senior Backend Engineer responsible for designing and operating critical backend services and data pipelines. You will build event-driven microservices capable of handling very high request volumes while providing essential telemetry for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Take full technical ownership of core platform domains: design, decide, build, operate, and own outcomes.
• Design and implement event-driven microservices for high-scale throughput (millions of requests).
• Build and maintain service layers and data pipelines.
• Provide critical telemetry to support analytics.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams using strong technical judgment.
• Deliver scalable solutions under pressure and identify/resolve performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 5+ years backend development experience (seniority based on autonomy and proactivity).
• 3+ years strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• 3+ years operating AWS Serverless environments: Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS.
• 2+ years basic Data Engineering and relational data modeling with PostgreSQL.

Nice to Have

• 1+ year experience with TimescaleDB or time-series databases.
• Experience in IoT or industrial telemetry projects.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK).

Soft Skills
