About the role

Role Overview

Senior Backend Developer for fintech and blockchain platform infrastructure. You’ll design, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs that support mission-critical digital asset and blockchain capabilities at global scale.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for scalable financial and blockchain-related platforms
Translate business and technical requirements into efficient backend architectures with product, design, and stakeholder partners
Improve and optimize existing Node.js backend services for scalability, performance, and reliability
Build new microservices that communicate across distributed systems (e.g., via RPC and other integration methods)
Write and optimize complex database queries for operational, compliance, and financial reporting
Apply strong security standards and secure API design practices to protect user data and platform integrity
Contribute to high-availability architectures and real-time responsiveness as the platform scales
Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve backend infrastructure and services
Support agile development and deliver platform enhancements and new features

Requirements

5+ years of professional backend experience with JavaScript and Node.js
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed backend systems
Experience building complex, high-scale platforms or applications
Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL and MongoDB)
Knowledge of backend security principles and secure API design best practices
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and tooling
Familiarity with high-availability systems and real-time scalable services
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective collaboration in remote teams
Excellent written and verbal English communication

Nice to Have

Experience with blockchain integrations or decentralized technologies
Familiarity with Redis, message queues, caches, and background job processing tools
Exposure to Ruby and Ruby on Rails
