About the role

Role Overview

Senior Backend Developer / Software Engineer at Hyper Solutions. You will design, build, and scale backend systems that support Hyper’s manufacturing operations, modernizing a proprietary software platform through modular, high-performance, event-driven architecture.

Responsibilities

Design and implement backend microservices using Node.js and TypeScript
Build scalable RESTful APIs for internal tools and external integrations
Optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and performance
Architect and evolve event-driven, asynchronous components
Modularize systems into containerized microservices
Ensure backend systems are reliable, secure, and scalable in production
Improve automated testing, code quality, and system reliability
Contribute to CI/CD and deployment pipelines
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and service teams
Integrate with third-party systems (e.g., ERP and PLM)
Document system architecture and design decisions

Requirements

5+ years of backend engineering experience with Node.js and TypeScript
Strong PostgreSQL skills (relational modeling + performance tuning)
Experience building and scaling modular, distributed backend systems
Deep knowledge of REST API design, security, and reliability
Experience deploying/managing applications in cloud environments (preferably AWS)
Familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing frameworks
Experience building high-availability, scalable systems
Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

AWS services (ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda)
Terraform (infrastructure as code)
TypeORM (ORM)
Frontend familiarity: Vue.js, Tailwind CSS
Puppeteer, Jest
Experience in manufacturing/industrial/operations-focused environments
