Role overview

Join Bitfinex as a Senior Backend Developer (Full remote). You will build and maintain backend components for multiple Bitfinex services, with a focus on scalability, security, performance, and supporting new products and features.

Key missions

• Develop backend components for Bitfinex services, ensuring high performance and scalability
• Collaborate with the team to deliver innovative features and products in an Agile environment
• Implement and maintain security best practices to protect user data and transactions

Requirements

• Strong experience working with databases: MySQL and MongoDB
• Exceptional Node.js / JavaScript skills
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Experience contributing to a complex platform
• Good understanding of security practices
• Comfort with high-availability concepts
• Experience integrating with blockchain

Nice to haves

• Experience with message queues and caching/job queues (e.g., Redis)
• Skills in Ruby, Rust, or C++
