Role Overview

Senior Back End Engineer (Platform Integration) at Horizon3.ai, a remote cybersecurity company. You’ll help build and scale backend systems and platforms that power the NodeZero product, enabling integrations and data-driven workflows that support the “find-fix-verify” loop.

Responsibilities

Develop core product features in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and GraphQL for data processing and retrieval.
Design and implement GraphQL backend APIs to support data interactions across product components.
Contribute production-grade code with high standards for design quality, code quality, and operational rigor.
Collaborate with frontend engineers to present data clearly and improve user experience.
Drive technical execution as a senior individual contributor on a high-impact integration team.

Requirements

7+ years of professional software engineering experience using modern object-oriented or functional languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Scala, C++, TypeScript).
Experience building on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong ownership, prioritization, analytical/problem-solving skills, and communication.
Ability to write strong technical documentation.
Ability and interest in mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field.
