Senior AWS Platform Engineer

Role Overview

Seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to support AWS platform automation and cloud modernization initiatives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen foundational cloud capabilities, governance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment and planning for AWS platform automation and modernization projects within the first 2–3 weeks
• Execute remediation tasks including:
  • AWS Config remediations
  • CloudWatch log encryption
  • IAM provisioning
• Improve asset tagging to support FinOps
• Upgrade Terraform modules
• Enhance pipeline security
• Document technical decisions, standards, and implementation guidance
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide status updates
• Deliver end-of-engagement summaries with completed work and recommended next steps

Requirements

• Extensive experience with AWS services, including:
  • AWS Config remediation
  • CloudWatch
  • IAM
  • AWS IAM Identity Center
• Proficiency with Terraform
• Strong background in DevOps, platform tooling, and cloud security practices
• Ability to rapidly develop assessment and execution plans
• Strong communication skills for reporting and documentation
