Senior Automation Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Automation Engineer at SmithRx, you will own the end-to-end test strategy for the products you support. You’ll take an automation-first approach to determine where tests will deliver maximum impact, build and improve regression suites, and act as the primary quality advocate within your sprint team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure strong coverage and fast feedback
• Continuously improve test frameworks for reliability, efficiency, and usability
• Own test strategy and sprint planning for product testing
• Create test documentation (e.g., test plans and test cases)
• Find, report, and track bugs through resolution
• Collaborate with Product to provide testing insights that shape impactful features
• Provide clear test results to Engineering and Product to manage expectations and progress
• Maintain and improve security and performance tests
• Build deep expertise in SmithRx products
• Use AI tools (Playwright MCP, Claude, Copilot) to improve daily efficiency
• Maintain quality metrics to track and communicate overall product health

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA and automation testing with a demonstrated track record
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
