Role: Senior Architect – Cloud Platform

The Senior Architect leads technical delivery for complex, long-term cloud engagements, acting as a subject matter expert and building strong relationships across internal practices, clients, and Microsoft counterparts. The role shapes technical solutions, drives delivery excellence, and helps cultivate a collaborative, inclusive delivery culture.

Responsibilities

Leadership & People Development

• Provide consulting leadership and mentorship to internal and external teams, supporting delivery timelines for customer-focused outcomes.
• Act as a player-coach and drive continuous improvement through candid feedback.
• Mentor team members on enterprise engagement best practices.

Technical Delivery

• Serve as Technical Lead on key accounts to ensure client success and exceed expectations.
• Translate client business needs into technical solutions and delegate workstream requirements appropriately.
• Coordinate cross-practice teams to deliver high-quality, enterprise-grade solutions.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and facilitate customer backlog planning.
• Support project forecasting and Sprint 0 planning.
• Run post-project retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote delivery impact and celebrate team successes.

Technical Expertise (Azure)

• Apply broad and deep knowledge of Azure across infrastructure, networking, security, automation, and cloud migration.
• Lead projects spanning multiple Azure offerings and ensure delivery using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Bicep or Terraform).
• Embrace automation and AI-enabled delivery.

Collaboration & Growth

• Partner with/for Practice Leaders, Directors, and Delivery Owners on standards, delivery patterns, and client success.
• Support employee feedback, skills assessment, and coaching opportunities with consulting leadership.
• Drive transparent, predictable outcomes and build trusted-advisor relationships with key accounts.

Additional Operating Expectations

• Maintain an 86% utilization target (36 hours/week).
• Support Presales as a Subject Matter Expert.
• Help peers overcome technical blockers and refine consultative client engagement approach.
