Senior Applied Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Role overview

As a Senior Applied Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Taktile, you will build advanced AI products for high-impact problems in the financial crime or credit risk space. You’ll act as the product owner for the AI agents you create, driving scalable value in collaboration with the core product team.

Key missions

• Own the product for AI applications: design, develop, and deploy robust Generative AI agents.
• Partner with Solution and Forward Deployed Engineers to understand customer needs and create standard templates and reusable components.
• Translate customer feedback into a clear product vision for AI agents, iterating toward solutions that solve real use cases at scale.

Responsibilities

• Break down complex problems and turn them into scalable, reusable solutions.
• Iterate on agent capabilities to address concrete financial decision-making use cases.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to align AI outcomes with customer needs.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience across data science, software engineering, consulting, or product management with customer-facing work or product ownership.
• Strong interest in the financial domain, including credit underwriting, financial risk assessment, and financial crime detection.
• Proficiency writing clean, maintainable Python and SQL, and familiarity with REST APIs.
• Strong technical/quantitative background (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Economics).
• Experience building AI applications within financial services.
• Experience applying and optimizing statistical and machine learning models to business problems.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Stakeholder management skills with a product-centric mindset.
