Senior Applications Developer

Role Overview

Senior Applications Developer responsible for designing, building, and supporting customer-facing middleware services for VS & Co. This role serves as a technical lead across integration initiatives and enterprise-wide projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and monitor customer-facing middleware services using API-led Architecture principles.
• Lead the design, development, and production support of integration solutions using middleware technologies such as MuleSoft, Talend, and Cleo.
• Monitor and support changes to existing middleware services infrastructure.
• Act as overall Technical Lead on multiple projects or large-scale programs.
• Lead technical workstreams and segments, including cutover planning and testing phases (e.g., integration testing).
• Provide subject matter expertise across multiple applications/technical disciplines and across multiple business functions.
• Consult on existing and emerging integration technologies, services, and processes.
• Mentor and train team members in operational support activities, including on-call support.
• Drive issue identification and resolution using deep technical knowledge.
• Research and triage complex, cross-system problems.
• Recommend process/technology improvements based on architecture, industry trends, and best practices.
• Research options, analyze, implement selected changes, and audit outcomes for efficiency, quality, and speed.
• Facilitate explorations with business teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience, including:
  • 5 years hands-on API development with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, API Exchange)
  • 5 years development with Talend Data Fabric Tools (Talend Data Integration, Talend ESB, TMC, TAC)
  • 5 years building APIs using Talend API Designer and ETL jobs using Talend Data Integration
  • 5 years integration patterns and REST-based web services
  • 5 years integrating integration patterns across SAP, Salesforce, Kronos, and MuleSoft
  • 5 years documenting API developments (design patterns, use cases, service performance)
  • 5 years middleware experience including installation, deployment, health monitoring, and Linux admin task automation

• Remote work available with telecommuting required; employee may live anywhere in the United States.
