About the role
Role Overview
Senior Full-Stack AI Developer to join Chemours’ AI & Data Science team. This is a hybrid role based in Wilmington, DE, reporting to the Head of Data Science & AI. Remote may be considered for the right candidate, but you must be able to work Eastern Time.
You will design, build, and productionize end-to-end applications—including Generative AI solutions used by real users—while partnering closely with stakeholders and end users in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, implement, and productionize full-stack applications for both traditional software and Generative AI use cases
- Gather requirements with users and stakeholders and translate them into intuitive, high-quality solutions
- Lead high-impact initiatives across business functions (e.g., Manufacturing, Legal, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales)
- Identify, design, and integrate GenAI solutions into existing workflows with a focus on practical ROI
- Own product direction: roadmap definition, backlog prioritization, and release planning
- Mentor and accelerate junior developers; support collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data Engineering, and Office 365 for governance and architecture approvals
- Address technical debt and build scalable, reusable, well-documented architectures aligned with security/compliance
- Run and lead user workshops to identify high-value use cases and prioritize delivery
- Manage the full lifecycle of deployed applications: debugging, upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 7+ years building and deploying enterprise-grade applications in production
- Demonstrated experience delivering at least one production GenAI/LLM solution used by end users
- 5+ years backend development with Python and JavaScript
- 4+ years frontend development with React.js and TypeScript
- Experience working in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure AI, Fabric, cloud services)
- Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to drive solutions from concept through deployment in ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing/deploying Copilot Studio or multi-agent GenAI solutions
- PyTorch experience (fine-tuning and performance iteration)
- Building and operating CI/CD pipelines for AI and software systems
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes or containerized deployments
- Knowledge graph design/ontology development (e.g., Neo4j, Fabric IQ)
- Ability to evaluate and apply emerging AI technologies in production
