About the role

Role Overview

Senior Full-Stack AI Developer to join Chemours’ AI & Data Science team. This is a hybrid role based in Wilmington, DE, reporting to the Head of Data Science & AI. Remote may be considered for the right candidate, but you must be able to work Eastern Time.

You will design, build, and productionize end-to-end applications—including Generative AI solutions used by real users—while partnering closely with stakeholders and end users in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, implement, and productionize full-stack applications for both traditional software and Generative AI use cases
  • Gather requirements with users and stakeholders and translate them into intuitive, high-quality solutions
  • Lead high-impact initiatives across business functions (e.g., Manufacturing, Legal, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales)
  • Identify, design, and integrate GenAI solutions into existing workflows with a focus on practical ROI
  • Own product direction: roadmap definition, backlog prioritization, and release planning
  • Mentor and accelerate junior developers; support collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data Engineering, and Office 365 for governance and architecture approvals
  • Address technical debt and build scalable, reusable, well-documented architectures aligned with security/compliance
  • Run and lead user workshops to identify high-value use cases and prioritize delivery
  • Manage the full lifecycle of deployed applications: debugging, upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years building and deploying enterprise-grade applications in production
  • Demonstrated experience delivering at least one production GenAI/LLM solution used by end users
  • 5+ years backend development with Python and JavaScript
  • 4+ years frontend development with React.js and TypeScript
  • Experience working in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure AI, Fabric, cloud services)
  • Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to drive solutions from concept through deployment in ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing/deploying Copilot Studio or multi-agent GenAI solutions
  • PyTorch experience (fine-tuning and performance iteration)
  • Building and operating CI/CD pipelines for AI and software systems
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes or containerized deployments
  • Knowledge graph design/ontology development (e.g., Neo4j, Fabric IQ)
  • Ability to evaluate and apply emerging AI technologies in production
