Senior Andriod Developer

Role Overview

Senior Android Developer (Remote, Full-time) Precision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Android Developer with 10+ years of experience to design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure, high-performance Android applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android apps using Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack libraries
• Build responsive, user-friendly UI using XML layouts, Material Design, Jetpack Compose, and reusable components
• Integrate backend services and RESTful APIs using Retrofit, Volley, OkHttp, and JSON/XML parsing
• Apply modern architecture patterns: MVVM, MVP, MVC, Clean Architecture, Repository Pattern
• Use Jetpack components such as LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation Component, Room, WorkManager, Data Binding
• Implement local persistence with SQLite/Room, SharedPreferences, and Realm
• Write and execute unit, UI, and automation tests using JUnit, Espresso, Mockito
• Optimize performance (memory, battery, responsiveness) via profiling and debugging
• Integrate Firebase services: Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging (FCM), Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config
• Implement security best practices including OAuth2/JWT, SSL pinning, encryption, secure storage, and RBAC
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for Android builds using Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Fastlane/Azure DevOps
• Support Google Play Store publishing (release management, signing, versioning, compliance)
• Use Git for collaborative development and version control
• Work in Agile/Scrum (sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, code reviews)
• Mentor junior developers and champion Android best practices

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional Android development experience
• Strong expertise in Android SDK, Kotlin, Java, and mobile architecture patterns
• Experience with REST API integration and secure, reliable mobile-backend communication
• Hands-on work with Jetpack, including lifecycle, persistence, navigation, and background work
• Proven testing experience with JUnit/Espresso/Mockito
• CI/CD experience for Android releases and familiarity with Play Store deployment

Nice-to-Haves

• Strong Firebase integration experience (Auth, Firestore, FCM, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config)
• Mobile security experience (OAuth2/JWT, SSL pinning, encryption, RBAC)
• Experience with Realm and multiple CI/CD toolchains
