About the role

Role Overview

Senior Analytics Engineer at Vanta to build the foundation for a best-in-class analytics function. You’ll partner with Data Science and business stakeholders to ensure analytics stack and processes meet current needs with an eye toward the future.

Responsibilities

Design and implement complex data models that power dashboards, self-serve analytics, and data science workflows.
Write highly tuned, scalable SQL for large-scale, heterogeneous data warehouses.
Enable AI tooling using semantic layers and observability, improving analytics best practices.
Manage and improve data infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making.
Develop front-end applications to expose analytical datasets enterprise-wide.
Work with Product and Corporate Engineering system teams to structure source systems for reporting consumption across the enterprise.

Requirements

4+ years experience working with data.
2+ years experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
Experience with analytics tooling, including:
- dbt (required)
- Stitch/Fivetran
- Snowflake / BigQuery / Redshift
- Airflow or Dagster
- Looker / Mode / Sigma
A system-oriented, software engineering mindset for analytics engineering.
Strong expertise in dimensional and fact modeling.
Passion for developer experience and making data broadly usable.
Interest in security, anonymization, and compliance management for data warehousing.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Openness to using AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
