Role Overview

PandaDoc is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer for its Data team. You’ll build the foundational data models and infrastructure that turn raw company data into trusted, accessible datasets used for analytics and strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Do

Design and maintain dimensional data models in Snowflake to power analytics and reporting
Develop and optimize dbt models to transform data from systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Recurly into reliable datasets
Create and maintain data documentation in Select Star (and other catalog tools) for discoverability
Partner with data analysts and business stakeholders to translate analytical needs into scalable solutions
Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability
Optimize SQL queries and data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency
Support analytics initiatives such as:
- customer journey analysis
- revenue analytics
- product usage metrics
Contribute to data governance, including PII handling, metadata management, and quality standards
Mentor junior team members and promote best practices

What You’ll Bring

5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar data-focused role
Expert-level SQL (complex queries, CTEs, window functions)
Strong dbt experience building and maintaining transformation pipelines
Hands-on experience with Snowflake (or similar cloud warehouses such as BigQuery/Redshift)
Familiarity with data cataloging tools (Select Star preferred)
Data orchestration tool familiarity (Airflow / MWAA preferred)
Strong Python skills for data analysis and/or automation
Deep understanding of dimensional modeling and analytics/data warehouse design patterns
Experience with SaaS metrics (e.g., MRR, churn, CLV)
Proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaboration
Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to business stakeholders
Comfortable with remote work and distributed teams

Nice to Have

Experience with reverse ETL (e.g., Hightouch)
Exposure to BI tools (Hex preferred)
Understanding of data mesh / domain-oriented data architecture concepts
